But I happened to hear his rendition of "A house is not a home" on my car radio and was quite taken with him.

I like his song choices and his unique voice and have purchased several of his CD's and love every one of them. I highly recommend him if you like the old standards and some easy listening. This is a very special album and a good one to start with to appreciate the man and his music.

Tyrell, a great entertainer--Bacharach great sound. You know that. Great friends. Hearing these greats do these songs you hear the song's soul. This ia an album birthed in love and pride of presentation. Golden Bacharach carressed as gold should be handled. The Bacharach songs you humed 30 years ago resonate softly, tenderly in this love filled presentation. One person found this helpful.

If you are a Bacharach fan, then you are going to love Steve Tyrell's interpretation. I had never heard of Steve Tyrell. Read somewhere that Pres. Clinton preferred his version of a turn which escapes my memory right now, but I went looking for him on Amazon.

I found Burt's music by him and immediately bought it. I keep it in my car now all the time for driving around the city. Absolutely love it. If you enjoy Bacharach's music you will enjoy Steve Tyrell's fresh take on these standards. Tyrell's voice has a slight but distinctive burr that makes it both unique and enjoyable. This is a fabulous CD. Steve Tyrell does an amazing job capturing the essence of Bacharach.

When Steve sings there is something about his voice and style that makes you feel like he is singing only to you! How can you not be! I am a huge fan and was so excited when two of my favorites paired up for this amazing music creation! Pure listening enjoyment! Not great but good. Nobody around today does standards as well as Steve Tyrell. His past albums are all gems and this tribute to his friend Burt Bacharach is a crowning jewel. I'm a studio owner and Tyrell's tracks are in constant rotation in our CD drive.

Everyone who hears one of his tracks, if they don't already know of him by now, wants to know and ends up starting their own collection. These aren't just great tracks to play during dinner party's they are but they are also fantastic examples of how standard pop music should be produced and arranged.
