He plots his wife's murder, but will he succeed in his plans even if he is successful in ridding himself of his cumbersome wife?
The series "The Veil" was apparently a failed TV series that was never picked up by the networks. This in and of itself is not unusual, however, that 10 episodes were made is quite odd--and several of them are available to watch for free at archive. I've seen all the episodes available for the series from archive. Much of it is because the episode is interesting and much of it is because Boris Karloff who introduced and acted in nearly all the episodes played the most thoroughly awful character--someone you really love to hate!
The show begins with a sea captain arriving home circa or so. However, instead of rushing home to his wife, he goes off to the pub to drink and flirt.
And, when his wife sees him and talks to him, he responds abominably--treating her like a dog. Later in the episode, after behaving horribly, the Captain seems to soften--apologizing for his actions and inviting his wife to accompany him on his next voyage.
However, don't be fooled--he has a thoroughly evil plan and her days are numbered. What's next? See the show for yourself. Looking for some great streaming picks? Check out some of the IMDb editors' favorites movies and shows to round out your Watchlist. Visit our What to Watch page.

While most workers are already wearing a face covering because of the pandemic, only N95 masks filter smoke out of the air.
The pandemic has shortened supply of this protective equipment, Groot said. Farmers — who have already taken a financial hit, with schools and restaurants closing as a result of the pandemic — are also scrambling to adjust to the ever-changing conditions, Groot said. And for the farmworkers who are undocumented, complaining about conditions or asking for more protection is often too risky, and they have no government safety net.
But to Gonzales, times like this highlight how important the often unnoticed farm labor really is. When labor is scarce, it can raise prices or cause scarcities, he said, but at the same time, workers must be protected, or there will be no harvest. Donate Funds. Give Time. Email Address.
